Je suis tombée amoureuse de la langue chinoise…

Je suis tombée amoureuse de la langue chinoise au Lycée en Bourgogne durant une initiation et j’ai décidé d’en faire ma spécialité à l’Université à Paris. Ce n’était pas très populaire à l’époque début 2000 donc mes parents m’ont demandé « Pour quoi faire?». J’ai fait un an d’échange en Chine pendant mes études ensuite et suis totalement tombée amoureuse du pays, mon but était de m’installer en Chine après mon diplôme de Master terminé.  

En 2011 j’ai eu la chance de réunir mes 2 passions, la Chine et le vin, en travaillant pour le Conseil Régional d’Aquitaine au sein de son Bureau de représentation dans le centre de la Chine (Wuhan) et basé au sein du Consulat Général de France. C’est ainsi que j’ai commencé à travailler dans le vin et je n’ai depuis jamais quitté ni la Chine ni le vin !

Par la suite j’ai également travaillé pour un négociant de Bordeaux, un producteur de vin français qui avait des vignobles dans différentes régions ainsi qu’à l’étranger, et enfin pour des producteurs de vins de la Vallée du Rhône.

J’adore la Chine et j’ai toujours eu le sentiment que c’était le pays auquel j’appartenais, donc après tant d’années à travailler pour des sociétés françaises j’avais un peu le sentiment de ne pas en avoir assez fait pour mon pays d’adoption. Quand j’ai appris que mon principal importateur pour nos vins du Rhône, qui est également œnologue formé à Bordeaux, était en train de lancer un ambitieux projet viticole en Chine, j’ai décidé de le rejoindre à Xige Estate dans le Ningxia, « LA » Région viticole montante du Nord-Ouest de la Chine.

A nouveau, tous mes amis et mes connaissances dans le vin, à l’étranger comme en Chine, ont pensé que j’avais perdu la tête à quitter ma vie confortable dans une ville chinoise internationale (Shenzhen) pour aller m’installer dans une région isolée, travailler pour un tout nouveau domaine viticole, alors que personne ne s’intéressait aux vins chinois à ce moment-là.

Mais moi j’ai senti que Xige Estate c’était mon destin. Quand Zhang Yanzhi, avec qui j’ai coopéré pendant 3 ans pour l’import de vins français, m’a proposé de travailler pour lui, j’étais surexcitée. Je savais qu’il était un excellent distributeur et constructeur de marque de vin, un passionné qui non seulement avait de l’ambition mais aussi une réelle vision, et j’étais sûre que si quelqu’un pouvait changer le destin du vin chinois c’était lui.     

Et me voilà depuis 4 ans maintenant bien enracinée dans le Ningxia et je ne me vois faire absolument rien d’autre que poursuivre mes efforts pour promouvoir les vins fins chinois à travers le Monde et rester une partie active dans cette magnifique aventure. Il n’y a rien de plus excitant que de travailler pour une toute nouvelle propriété, dans une toute nouvelle région et un relativement « nouveau » pays viticoles, et les voir s’épanouir dans le Monde du vin, d’autant plus quand les vins sont excellents et que je peux en profiter tous les jours!

我与汉语的结缘可以追溯到我的高中时期，因为一次兴趣班对汉语产生了浓厚的兴趣。我怀着对汉语的热爱，决定去巴黎上大学学这个专业。学中文在2000年代并不盛行，因此，我的父母那时都疑惑地问我“学中文干嘛呢？”。在大学期间，我参加了为期一年的交换生项目前往中国成都，我彻底爱上了这个国家！并下定决心硕士毕业后一定要到中国定居。

2011年，我终于有机会将我心中的两大热爱——中国与葡萄酒相结合。当时我被邀请到法国驻武汉总领事馆的法国阿基坦大区（其首府是波尔多）政府代表处工作，至此之后我便开始了在葡萄酒行业的工作，也是从那时起，我就再也没有离开过中国和葡萄酒。

后来，我还为一家波尔多酒商工作，后续再为另外一家在法国不同产区和在国外都有自己酒庄的生产商工作过，最后还为两家罗纳河谷葡萄酒生产商也工作过。

我深爱着中国，觉得中国是我的心灵归宿之地，也视中国为我的第二故乡。所以为法国公司工作了那么多年后，我总担心自己为中国这片故土做得不够多。那时我了解到我当时合作的主要客户、就是代理我们法国罗纳河谷葡萄酒的进口商——张言志先生，他也是在波尔多学习酿酒专业的中国酿酒师，正在中国建立一个雄心勃勃的酒庄项目。当时我就决定去往这块被称为中国西北地区的新兴葡萄酒产区——宁夏，加入西鸽酒庄并跟张言志一起工作。

再一次，我的决定又引来了我身边行业内外、国内外的亲朋好友的震惊与疑惑。他们都觉得我又疯了——为什么要离开一个国际化都市（深圳）的舒适生活，去到一个偏僻的地方定居呢？更何况还是在当时并没有任何人在关注中国精品葡萄酒的情势下去一家新中国酒庄工作。

但是于我而言，与西鸽酒庄的相遇就似命中注定般。当与我合作了3年多做我们法国葡萄酒的进口业务的张言志先生向我提议为他工作时，我特别兴奋。我知道他既是一位伟大的品牌运营者，也是一位出色的葡萄酒经销商，他不仅胸怀雄心与激情，并且心含真正的愿景，我相信如果有人能够改变中国葡萄酒的命运，就是他。

现在已经过去了4年，我已经深深地扎根在宁夏这片土地。我也根本没法想象和考虑到去做别的事，我就是想继续作为这场大冒险之旅的积极成员在世界各地用最大努力推广中国精品葡萄酒。没有什么比在这个位于世界上“新”葡萄酒生产国的新兴葡萄酒产区里的年轻酒庄工作，并见证它们在葡萄酒世界里蓬勃兴起更能激动人心的事情了，更何况我每天都可以享受到如此绝佳的葡萄美酒！

I fell in love with Chinese language…

I fell in love with Chinese language during a discovery class in my Burgundy high school and decided to go to Paris to keep studying it at university. It was not very popular back in the early 2000’, so my parents asked me « What for? ». During my studies I went to China for a one-year exchange program (in Chengdu) and fell in love with the country, my next goal was to find a way to go settle in China after graduating from my Master Degree. 

 In 2011, I got the chance to reunite my 2 passions, China and wine, when I was offered to work for the French Aquitaine Region (whose capital is Bordeaux) based in its representative office in the French Consulate in Central China (Wuhan), that’s how I started working in the wine industry and have never left neither China or wine since! 

Afterwards I have moved on working for a Bordeaux wine merchant, a French wine producer with wineries in different regions in France and abroad, and finally for Rhône Valley wine producers. 

I love China and always felt it is where I belong so after so many years working for French companies, I worried that I was not doing enough for my adoptive country. When I learnt that my main client who was importing our Rhône Valley wines back then, who was also a winemaker trained in Bordeaux (Zhang Yanzhi), was founding an ambitious winery project in China, I decided to go join him and Xige Estate in Ningxia, China Northwest’s Up and Coming Wine Region. 

Again, all my friends and contacts from the wine industry, both abroad and in China, thought I was going mad leaving a comfortable life in an international Chinese city (Shenzhen) to go settle in an isolated area, working for a new winery, when nobody was giving any attention to Chinese fine wine yet. 

But for me Xige Estate project really felt like destiny. When Zhang Yanzhi, whom I have cooperated with for over 3 years dealing with French wines, offered me to work for him, I got very excited. I knew he was a great brand builder and wine distributor, someone not only with ambition and passion but also with a real vision, and I believed that if someone could change Chinese wine fate, he was THE one.

And here I have been for the last 4 years, deeply rooted in Ningxia, and I absolutely can’t see myself do anything else, but keep on promoting Chinese fine wine around the world and be an active member of this great adventure. There is nothing more exciting than working for a new winery, in a new wine region and a « new » wine country, and see them grow in the World of wine, especially when the wines are that great and I can enjoy them every day!
