J’ai grandi sur le plateau d’Aumelas, à 20 minutes à l’ouest de Montpellier, dans la propriété historique des Vignobles Jeanjean, le Château Valoussière.

Comme Obélix, je suis tombée dedans quand j’étais petite. Dans cette nature à perte de vue, dans ce monde paysan qui cultive non seulement la terre, mais des valeurs qui sont miennes, dans cette campagne viticole omniprésente dans notre beau Languedoc, dans le sud de la France, et surtout, je côtoie depuis toujours les hommes et les femmes qui font le vin, qui le distribuent et qui l’apprécient. En période de vendanges, à la cave, en tournée avec mon père dans le centre de la France, avec les clients autour d’un barbecue au Château Valoussière, sous les marronniers. 

Dans cette jeunesse heureuse, j’ai appris non seulement à aimer la vigne et les métiers du vin, la nature généreuse mais fragile, mais surtout, j’ai appris le respect pour les hommes et les femmes qui sont derrière chaque bouteille de vin.

Depuis j’ai grandi, mais ces valeurs sont là pour toujours. 

Cet amour de la nature, je l’ai d’abord mis en pratique dans ma première expérience professionnelle au Québec, quand je travaillais avec René Metge et l’équipe du Harricana. C’est à cette période que je suis tombée amoureuse du Québec, ma 2^ème province, qui m’accueille toujours les bras ouverts quand je vais parler de mes vins, notamment de mon rosé le Pive, le rosé le plus vendu au Québec ! 

Ensuite, j’ai travaillé dans l’entreprise familiale, Jeanjean, qui vient de fêter ses 150 ans. 

Je représente la 6^ème génération, mais j’ai appris le métier dès le plus jeune âge, en accompagnant mon père et mon oncle, mais ensuite, en travaillant à l’export, puis au marketing. 

Aujourd’hui, je suis installée à St Félix de Lodez, au siège de la société, là où tout a commencé en 1872, j’habite toujours au Château Valoussière. 

Je dirige au sein de l’entreprise les Vignobles Jeanjean, composés de 9 domaines, tous cultivés en bio. 

En effet, depuis toujours protéger la nature, favoriser le développement de la biodiversité et veiller aux hommes et aux femmes qui travaillent les vignes font partie de mes priorités. 

Les temps ont changé certes, mais j’ai toujours la chance de pouvoir vivre au quotidien à côté de ma cave, au milieu des vignes, de pouvoir participer pendant les vendanges à quelques travaux à la vigne ou au chai, déguster le vin, participer aux assemblages avec mon équipe afin de veiller à offrir le meilleur rapport qualité/plaisir à nos consommateurs !

I grew up on the plateau of Aumelas, 20 minutes west of Montpellier, in the historical property of Vignobles Jeanjean, Château Valoussière.

Like Obelix, I fell into it when I was little. In this vast nature, in this agricultural world that cultivates not only the land but also values that are dear to me, in this omnipresent wine-growing countryside in our beautiful Languedoc, in the south of France, and above all, I have always been surrounded by the men and women who make wine, distribute it, and appreciate it. During the harvest season, in the cellar, on tour with my father in central France, with clients around a barbecue at Château Valoussière, under the chestnut trees.

In this happy youth, I learned not only to love the vine and the wine industry, the generous yet fragile nature, but above all, I learned respect for the men and women behind each bottle of wine. Since then, I have grown up, but these values are always with me.

I first put this love for nature into practice during my first professional experience in Quebec, when I worked with René Metge and the team at Harricana. It was during this time that I fell in love with Quebec, my second province, which always welcomes me with open arms when I come to talk about my wines, especially my rosé, Le Pive, the best-selling rosé in Quebec!

Afterward, I worked in the family business, Jeanjean, which just celebrated its 150th anniversary. I represent the sixth generation, but I learned the trade from a young age by accompanying my father and my uncle, and then by working in exports and marketing. Today, I am based in St Félix de Lodez, at the headquarters of the company, where it all began in 1872, and I still live at Château Valoussière. Within the company, I lead the Vignobles Jeanjean, consisting of 9 estates, all cultivated organically. Indeed, protecting nature, promoting biodiversity, and caring for the men and women who work the vineyards have always been among my priorities.

Times have changed, of course, but I still have the privilege of living daily next to my cellar, amidst the vineyards, being able to participate in some vineyard or cellar work during the harvest, tasting the wine, and collaborating with my team to ensure we offer the best quality and pleasure to our consumers!
