
Yan Latouche
I am an unwavering enthusiast of everything related to our taste buds, local food production, and, more broadly, our terroir. For me, gastronomy is not just about taste: it’s a way to tell our story, celebrate our identity, and share our culture far beyond our borders.
My professional journey first led me to manage Le Dagobert, a legendary institution on Grande Allée in Quebec City, where I played the role of captain for 14 years. This place taught me the power of human connection and the impact of a well-orchestrated experience, while sharpening my strong skills in management and creating unforgettable atmospheres.
After this adventure, I had the chance to dive into another iconic Quebec institution: the Quebec Winter Carnival. I served as interim general manager for a year, which allowed me to explore the behind-the-scenes of a major heritage event, strengthen my expertise in team management and strategic planning, and contribute to the winter magic that brings together thousands of visitors every year.
The call of entrepreneurship then led me to found my own event company: EvenTouch. Through EvenTouch, I had the privilege of leading several large-scale culinary events in Quebec, including the Foodcamp at Château Frontenac, Québec Table Gourmande (which brings together 70 to 80 restaurants in Quebec City), Le Dîner en Blanc Québec City, as well as the largest bubbles and spirits festival in Canada: Bulle Whisky et Gastronomie.
Thanks to these projects, I was able to specialize in showcasing local producers, creating immersive experiences, and promoting Quebec’s terroir. I also developed strong expertise in partnerships, in securing funding and grants within the culinary and tourism sectors, as well as in product marketing and offer structuring.
Over the years, I have built a rich, engaged, and passionate network that spans all spheres of the agri-food ecosystem. Today, this community allows me to connect artisans, chefs, producers, and food lovers around meaningful, unifying projects.
In short, whether at the helm of an iconic establishment, within the vibrant world of restaurants, alongside producers to understand and support their needs, or at the heart of a major event, my mission remains the same: to create memorable experiences that awaken the senses, bring people together, and celebrate the very best of what we have to offer.
