Isabelle Desrochers
Born in Quebec in 1977, Isabelle still lives there and draws her inspiration from this city that she loves so much. Passionate about drawing since a young age, she discovered painting in 1999 thanks to a friend. However, it was in the early 2000s that she seriously considered making it her career.
From 2003, Isabelle stood out in the field of decorative arts, which allowed her to be published in several specialized magazines and to author a book published by Inst-Art. Driven by the desire to share her know-how, she runs workshops across Quebec and has even had the chance to teach in Europe.
In 2012, she reached an important milestone by devoting herself fully to the sale of her original and unique works. Social networks then become a real springboard for his career, offering him a valuable showcase. Represented by three art galleries, she also participates in various group exhibitions and presents her works during summer symposia.
Her style is distinguished by the representation of female figures that she affectionately calls her “generous”: women with voluptuous curves, overflowing with joie de vivre. “I like to paint these women with round shapes, because for me, beauty and well-being in one’s skin are essential values. My inspiration comes from everyday life, small pleasures, good wine and champagne…
So many simple pleasures that I like to illustrate with a touch of humor. »
Isabelle finds fulfillment in her workshop, surrounded by her brushes and acrylic tubes.
“As soon as I start painting in the morning, my world comes to life on the canvas… and time stops. »
