Fabio Cordella always dreamed of playing football professionally, just like any other kid who loves the sport and would dream of becoming successful at it. In his case, he started playing it in the streets of Copertino, then eventually in the Copertino football School. As a professional, his career began at eleven years old when the Galatina soccer team bought him. Because of his excellent skills and talent as a footballer, he eventually became his team's main pillar. He says, "I was a leader, a strong point of reference as a player." His talents and skills grew so much that he started to play for the Italian National team Under-17 at age of only 16. In the moment of his big rise to glory, Fabio discovered a cyst in his right knee, and it bothered him very much. He then decides to have a surgery to get the cyst removed. However, what seemed to be a simple surgical procedure turned out otherwise, and it eventually changed his life forever. A medical mistake put him in an unexpected situation, and from that time on, he would never be able to play soccer professionally ever again. He was devastated. His biggest dream was to become one of the best soccer players in the World, and now that was no longer possible. But that didn't stop him, Fabio's passion for the sport and his immense desire to grow as a person and a professional in the industry kept him alive. He reinvented himself, Fabio studied business management at Miami University, became sports director for clubs such as, Africa Sports D'Abidjan, Treviso FC, Royal Union Saint Gilloise, as well as the Budapest Honved FC, which is a famous Hungarian club. He also worked in the industry for the Panama Football Federation and participated in the UEFA Europa League with Budapest Honved FC as a team director with his team playing in the Champions League preliminary games. In 2023 Fabio has received the very honorable title of "Knight of Grace" of the Most Venerable Order of Saint John of Jerusalem. Fabio is a man with a big heart, a person that never gives up on his dreams, a man that knows exactly what he wants in life and that decides to go after it wholeheartedly.
